During the recent Lunar New Year (from December 27th to the 6th day of Tet), An Giang is estimated to welcome more than 1.7 million visitors (an increase of more than 37% compared to the same period), the average room occupancy rate reached more than 78%; total revenue from tourism is estimated to reach over 2,600 billion VND (an increase of 39% compared to the same period). Phu Quoc special zone alone is estimated to welcome nearly 366,000 visitors (an increase of nearly 30% compared to the same period), of which international visitors are nearly 93,000 (an increase of 24.3% compared to the same period).
