From renewing products, organizing events to tightening service management, the Capital's tourism industry proactively prepares for two major holidays in April, aiming to both increase the number of visitors and improve the quality of experience.
Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism Dang Huong Giang affirmed that annual holidays are always a great opportunity for the tourism industry.
Based on the positive growth results in the first quarter of 2026 with welcoming 8.82 million visitors, total revenue of nearly 37,000 billion VND, the Capital's Tourism industry has synchronously implemented solutions to attract tourists, increase spending and extend stays.
The Capital's Tourism Industry focuses on developing new tourism products, enhancing the experience. Hanoi has announced a set of 80 unique tourism products, and at the same time accelerated the deployment of tourism products such as: Muong Coc community tourism (My Duc commune), "Con duong dao hoc" (O Dien commune), "Hon tre Dong Vu" (Ung Thien commune) or night tourism "Hao khi Thanh Giong" (Soc Son commune)... contributing to product diversification.

At the same time, Hanoi organizes many attractive events and festivals at destinations such as: Village of Culture - Tourism of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups, Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, Bao Son Paradise... along with art and entertainment activities in the pedestrian street space, cuisine, creating a vibrant atmosphere and attracting tourists.
At the same time, a series of large-scale cultural and artistic activities are organized to contribute to diversifying experiences for tourists during the holidays.
The Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi Old Quarter Management Board said it will coordinate with artisans, artists, and researchers to organize many special programs in two key spaces, the Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake, lasting from April to June 2026.
At the Hanoi Old Quarter Cultural Exchange Center (50 Dao Duy Tu), the exhibition "Sơn ta sử tích" takes place from now until May 20. From April 17 - May 17, at Ha Vi communal house (11 Hang Hom) the exhibition "Dòng chảy sơn mài Việt - Từ di sản đến đương đại" takes place and Relic Space No. 40 Lan Ong organizes the exhibition "Từ Dó mà ra".
At Kim Ngan communal house (42, 44 Hang Bac), the program "Applied fine arts combining lacquer and fine art horn in fashion" (April 25 - June 26) contributes to connecting traditional handicrafts with contemporary creative trends.

Not only focusing on heritage space, Hanoi also strengthens modern entertainment products, targeting family groups and young people. The highlight at the beginning of summer is the event with the theme "Summer Journey 2026" at Ho Tay Water Park on April 18.
With a preferential price of 98,000 VND on the opening day and a uniform price program of 150,000 VND from April 19 to April 24, 2026, the event is expected to attract a large number of people and tourists, becoming a prominent entertainment highlight in the early summer.
Representatives of the Organizing Committee emphasized: "This is not only the opening event of the activity season but also an invitation for tourists to experience the sea space right in the heart of Hanoi, with the desire to bring a summer full of energy and memorable moments.

In addition, before the forecast that the number of visitors flocking to the central areas will increase sharply during the peak holiday season, Hanoi's tourism industry identifies expanding space and diversifying products. This is a key solution to reduce inner-city pressure and redistribute visitor flow.
The city is strongly developing suburban tourism products in Ba Vi, Soc Son, Huong Son, Son Tay... with ecotourism, resort, community, and agricultural types associated with indigenous cultural experiences.
Hanoi tourism is expected to continue to maintain positive growth momentum. The two upcoming holidays in April are an opportunity for the Capital to effectively exploit the advantages of cultural heritage, festivals, cuisine, night tourism and pedestrian street space, thereby improving the experience and extending the stay of tourists.
