On the evening of January 30, the Hanoi Department of Tourism coordinated with Tay Ho Ward People's Committee to open the program "Hanoi Tourism Welcomes 2026 - Get on Hanoi 2026", opening the new tourism year of the Capital with the message of green, sustainable, rich in identity and experience development.
With the theme "Get on Hanoi 2026 - Green Journey", the Capital's tourism industry sends a message of developing tourism associated with nature conservation, preserving cultural heritage, promoting community responsibility and towards a sustainable future.
This is not only the message of a tourist season but also a strategic direction in building the image of a destination "Safe - Friendly - Quality - Attractive", gradually affirming the position of a leading tourist city in the region, a place that harmoniously converges thousands of years of cultural tradition and the creative vitality of a modern city.
Mr. Tran Trung Hieu, Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism, said that Hanoi enters 2026 with a new mindset, new belief and strong aspirations for development.
According to him, the success of the 14th National Party Congress has opened up important strategic orientations for the country and the Capital, in which tourism continues to be identified as a comprehensive, spearhead economic sector, imbued with cultural, humanistic and sustainable values.
“Continuing the success of the Get on Hanoi programs from 2022 to now, the Hanoi Tourism Program welcomes 2026 - Get on Hanoi 2026 with the theme Green Tourism Journey clearly shows the development orientation of Hanoi Tourism in the coming period,” Mr. Tran Trung Hieu shared.
Accordingly, the Capital's tourism industry orients its development in harmony with nature, preserving and promoting heritage, promoting innovation, and at the same time bringing friendly, safe, and emotional experiences to tourists.
In particular, at the program, a ceremony was held to award decisions recognizing new tourist destinations, and at the same time introduce a series of more than 80 unique tourism experiences of Hanoi in 2026.
The three tourist destinations awarded the recognition decision include the Hanoi Botanical Garden tourist destination in Tay Tuu ward, the Thiet Ung fine art wood craft village tourist destination, and the Thuy Lam tourist destination in Thu Lam commune.
These are destinations rich in cultural, historical and natural landscape values, contributing to diversifying the peri-urban and suburban tourism space, linking local communities with sustainable tourism development.
