Vietnam International Travel Mart VITM 2026 has the theme of digital transformation, green growth to create new values for the tourism industry. Through this, tourism businesses will have the opportunity to access modern technology solutions, smart tourism business models, and introduce green tourism products, sustainable tourism products suitable to the development trend of world tourism.
Speaking at the fair introduction program, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa Mai - Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism said that in 2026, Vietnam's tourism industry aims to welcome 25 million international visitors. This is both an opportunity and a challenge, requiring the efforts of the entire industry.
In which, VITM 2026 is an opportunity to promote the image of Vietnamese tourism, attract international tourists and promote the development of the tourism industry.
We are committed to continuing to accompany businesses, creating favorable conditions for sustainable tourism development, improving competitiveness and affirming Vietnam's tourism position on the world map," Ms. Hoa Mai affirmed.

Within the framework of the fair, many trade, tourism promotion and cultural exchange activities will take place. Typically, the Fair is expected to have about 450 booths, attracting the participation of domestic and foreign tourism promotion agencies, airlines, international tourism organizations, and more than 600 tourism businesses.
In addition, representatives from 15 countries and territories and 34 provinces and cities of Vietnam are expected to participate in promoting destinations, introducing tourism products and seeking cooperation opportunities. The fair is also expected to attract about 80,000 visitors and transactions, creating a vibrant space for tourism promotion and market stimulus activities.
The Vietnam Tourism Association informed that VITM 2026 will implement a trade connection program between international and Vietnamese tourism businesses, taking place on April 9, 2026, specifically for businesses that have registered to participate.
The activity is expected to attract about 350 - 400 buyers, including about 150 international travel companies that are key markets of Vietnam and 200 Vietnamese travel businesses. Units will meet, exchange information, and sign cooperation agreements with businesses that have participated in booths at the fair.
In parallel with trade activities, the fair also has many tourism promotion activities between businesses and between businesses and consumers.
From April 10th to December 12th, the fair will open to visitors at the ICE Hanoi International Exhibition Center (Huu Nghi Cultural Palace, 91 Tran Hung Dao, Hanoi).
At the fair, there are also many tourism promotion activities, tourism product introduction programs, destination promotion conferences, and cultural exchange and unique art performance programs of domestic and international art troupes.

In particular, the Vietnam International Travel Mart 2026 in Phu Quoc (VITM Phu Quoc 2026) will take place from October 7 to 9 in Phu Quoc, An Giang. This is an activity organized by An Giang Provincial People's Committee in coordination with the Vietnam Tourism Association, in response to the APEC 2027 Conference in Vietnam.
VITM 2026 is not only a tourism fair but also a forum for connecting, cooperating and developing the domestic and international tourism business community. The event is expected to continue to make positive contributions to the digital transformation process, promote green growth and enhance the position of Vietnamese tourism in the region and in the world.
