Taste Atlas has released a list of the 70 best sweets in the world and coconut candy has ranked 26th with 3.5 stars. Coconut candy is described by the website as a traditional Vietnamese sweet, originating from Ben Tre, a place famous for its delicious coconuts.
Coconut candy is made from a mixture of grated coconut, coconut milk, coconut cream, sugar and malt syrup. The workers will put the mixture into a large pan, stir continuously until it thickens, then pour the mixture into molds, let it cool, cut into rectangles and wrap it in rice paper and then wrap it in regular paper soaked in oil.

According to some documents, coconut candy has been around since 1810, originating from Mo Cay district, Ben Tre province. Nowadays, besides the traditional type of coconut candy, there are many different flavors, more diverse, more novel such as: pandan leaves, roasted peanuts, durian.
In addition, topping the list of the world's best confectionery is Belgian chocolate with 4.8/5 stars. In second place is Gianduja - an ice cream made from chocolate and ground hazelnuts with 4.6 stars. In third place is chocolate truffles with 4.4 stars.
