On the evening of September 1st, information from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lao Cai province said that during the National Day holiday September 2nd, the number of visitors to tourist areas and attractions in the area increased sharply.
As of 5:00 PM on September 1st, the whole province is estimated to welcome 450,000 visitors, of which about 34,000 are international visitors.
Total revenue from tourists reached about 1,900 billion VND, including 197.2 billion VND from international visitors and 1,702.8 billion VND from domestic visitors.

Sa Pa continues to be the most attractive destination, with about 150,500 visitors, an increase of 11% compared to the same period in 2025.
Room occupancy rate reached about 95%, especially establishments from 3 stars and above reached about 95%, homestays about 85%.
Fansipan Sa Pa cable car tourist area welcomed more than 30,700 visitors, Cat Cat about 25,000 visitors. Bao Ha also recorded a large number of visitors with about 85,000 visitors.

In Bac Ha, the number of visitors is estimated at 25,000, the room occupancy rate is about 90%.
Mu Cang Chai and Tu Le welcomed nearly 27,000 visitors, of which the golden season experience activities continued to create attraction.
During the holidays, Lao Cai organizes many cultural, sports and tourism activities.
Notably, the 1st Vietnamese Ethnic Minority Women's Football Tournament - VTV Cup in 2026 in Nghia Lo ward has 12 participating teams, attracting over 100,000 spectators.

According to the assessment of the tourism industry, accommodation establishments, tourist areas, and attractions have proactively prepared conditions to serve guests.
Food safety was ensured, no cases of poisoning, price increases or price pressure were recorded.
Security and order are maintained, the tourist hotline does not record complaints from tourists.
However, the central area of Sa Pa ward still experienced local traffic congestion during peak days.
