On April 9, at the special national historical and architectural relic site of Ba Trieu Temple (in Trieu Loc commune), Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee solemnly organized the Ba Trieu Temple Festival 2026, commemorating the 1,778th anniversary of the death of National Hero Trieu Thi Trinh.

Attending the festival were leaders of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee; representatives of provincial departments, agencies, branches, mass organizations; communes, wards and a large number of people and tourists from all directions.
According to the Organizing Committee, the festival is a major cultural event to honor the merits of National Hero Trieu Thi Trinh, while promoting the tourism potential, cultural values and typical architecture of Ba Trieu Temple historical relic.

Attending the festival, people and tourists enjoyed an art program with the theme "National Hero Trieu Thi Trinh - Shining golden pages of national history". The program is elaborately staged, consisting of 3 chapters, recreating the historical journey from the "land of heroic birth" to the image of Ba Trieu waving the flag of uprising, leading the army against foreign invaders, followed by the spirit of building the homeland in the new era.

At the ceremony, delegates, people and tourists offered incense to commemorate National Hero Trieu Thi Trinh and her predecessors in the uprising against the Ngo army more than 1,700 years ago.
Mrs. Trieu (née Trieu Thi Trinh) was born on the 2nd day of the 10th year of Binh Ngo (year 226) in the mountainous area of Quan Yen, Cuu Chan district (now Thanh Hoa province). At that time, the country was occupied by the Eastern Wu invaders, and people lived in misery. Not resigned to the yoke of domination, although only 17-18 years old, Trieu Thi Trinh and her brother Trieu Quoc Dat gathered forces and raised troops to uprising in the mountainous area of Quan Yen, which was responded to by the people.
Although the uprising was not successful, Ba Trieu bravely sacrificed herself on February 22, Mau Thin year (248). However, the uprising became a historical milestone, showing the indomitable spirit and will to fight against foreign invaders of the nation.
