On August 26, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province said that the Dak Lak Durian Festival 2026 has attracted a large number of tourists to visit and relax in the area. From August 14 to now, the province has welcomed more than 520,000 visitors.
During the festival, tourists not only gather in the central area of Buon Ma Thuot, where many main activities take place, but also spread out to localities, tourist attractions, relics and museums throughout the province.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoang, a tourist from Hue, said that the first time he came to Dak Lak right on the occasion of the 2026 Durian Festival, he was impressed with the vibrant atmosphere and friendliness of the local people.
The festival not only has many activities to promote and introduce durian, but also helps tourists understand more about the culture, people and land of the Central Highlands," Mr. Hoang shared.
According to Mr. Hoang, the most interesting thing in the trip is being able to directly visit durian growing areas, learn about the process of care, harvesting and enjoying durian right at the production site.
Durian here has a characteristic flavor, fragrant, fatty and very fresh. Besides, cultural, artistic and experiential programs also create many interesting memories," Mr. Hoang said.
This tourist also spent time visiting some tourist attractions, relics and cultural spaces of Dak Lak. Through the trip, he realized that the festival has created a connection between agriculture, tourism and local culture.
