On August 13, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province said that the unit had just requested tourism business units... and accommodation establishments to proactively prepare necessary conditions, ensure security, safety and improve the quality of service to tourists during the Durian Festival.
Dak Lak Durian Festival 2026 takes place from August 15 to September 2, with the theme "Dak Lak Durian - Connecting to reach far". Activities are organized in Buon Ma Thuot ward, Krong Pac commune, Tuy Hoa ward and durian growing communes in the province.
For travel service businesses, the Department requires building tour programs associated with festival activities, including the reality show "Long House Memories" and the tourism stimulus program "Check-in Festival - Receive gifts immediately".
The Department also reminded businesses to thoroughly grasp the spirit and attitude of welcoming, guiding and serving tourists, especially for the team of tour guides and tourist drivers - those who directly contact, serve and impress tourists.
Mr. Tran Hong Tien - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province - requested units not to produce and trade in poor quality food, use harmful colorings or additives outside the list allowed by the Ministry of Health. Establishments must regularly store food samples according to regulations to serve inspection and timely handling when food safety incidents occur.
At entertainment and sightseeing spots with water surface areas such as sea, rivers, lakes, waterfalls, units must prepare sufficient rescue vehicles, arrange certified rescue forces according to regulations. During the festival, it is necessary to coordinate with health agencies and local authorities to arrange 24/24 hour standing forces to ensure the safety of life, health and property of tourists.
For accommodation establishments, the Department requests to renovate, supplement, and replace facilities; review and publicize room and service prices in the reception area for tourists to conveniently choose. Facilities are encouraged to build promotional programs, showing the spirit of hospitality and attracting tourists to Dak Lak.
