Hanoi banned the road from 10:00 p.m. on September 1 to 1:00 p.m. on September 2 to serve the parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.

Compared to the announcement on August 13, the time for banning, temporarily banning and restricting vehicles has been shortened to 15 hours, instead of 21 hours as before (from 6:00 p.m. on August 29 to 3:00 p.m. the following day).

People and tourists need to pay attention to prohibited routes and traffic diversion plans to serve the parade and parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 (A80).

Routes completely banned

During the parade, Hanoi will ban all vehicles (except vehicles with protection badges and vehicles serving celebrations) on many central streets such as: Hoang Hoa Tham, Thuy Khue (Hung Vuong - Van Cao section), Mai Xuan Thuong, Quan Thanh, Phan Dinh Phung, Hung Vuong, Hoang Van Thu, Doc Lap, Chua Mot Cot, Bac Son, Ton That Dam, Nguyen Canh Chan, Hoang Dieu, Cua Bac, Yen Phu, Thanh Nien.

In addition, the routes: Dien Bien Phu, Ba Huyen Thanh Quan, Le Hong Phong, Ong Ich Khiem, Ngoc Ha, Nguyen Tri Phuong, Chu Van An, Ton Duc Thang, Cat Linh, Trinh Hoai Duc, Hang Chao, Tran Phu, Son Tay, Kim Ma, Lieu Giai, Van Cao, Nghi Tam, Doi Can, Doc La-Pho, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Le Duan, Tran Nhan Tong (from Le Duan to Quang Trung), Trang Thi, Hang Khay, Trang Tien, Co Tan, Phan Chu Trinh (from Hai Trung to Trang Tien) are also banned.

Le Thanh Tong and Tong Dan streets (from Ly Dao Thanh to Trang Tien), Tran Quang Khai, Tran Khanh Du, Quang Trung (from Ly Thuong Kiet to Trang Thi), Ly Thai To, Nguyen Huu Huan, Ngo Quyen (from the State Bank Square to Trang Tien), Giang Vo, Lang Ha, Lang (Lang Ha - Tran Duy Hung section) are also completely banned during the above time frame.

Temporarily banning and restricting vehicles

During the ban on roads for parade, Hanoi City Police temporarily banned vehicles on routes in Ring Road 1 (except priority vehicles, official vehicles, buses, garbage collection vehicles, vehicles with protection badges, vehicles serving the Ceremony).

In the area from Ring Road 1 to Ring Road 2, trucks with a load capacity of 1.5 tons or more and passenger cars with 16 seats or more will be temporarily banned when a convoy of A80 vehicles passes through. After that, vehicles will be able to circulate normally.

Hanoi Police also recommended limiting private cars, motorbikes and commercial vehicles with less than 16 seats from Ring Road 2 to Ring Road 3; at the same time, limiting vehicles from Ring Road 1 to Ring Road 2.

For suburban routes such as National Highway 32, Cau Dien, Ho Tung Mau, Le Duc Tho, Le Quang Dao, Thang Long Avenue, National Highway 21A, Ho Chi Minh Road, National Highway 6, Quang Trung, Nguyen Trai, Provincial Road 419, 429, Vo Nguyen Giap, National Highway 18..., the city police recommend limiting traffic (except for buses, priority vehicles, vehicles serving celebrations).

Instructions for alternative travel routes

During the time of organizing the road closure, Hanoi City Police instructed routes for temporary vehicles to:

Vehicles from National Highway 5, Hanoi - Bac Giang Expressway, Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway go to Cau Gie - Ninh Binh Expressway through Thanh Tri Bridge - elevated Ring Road 3 - Do Muoi intersection.

Vehicles from the Eastern provinces (Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh) to the North, West, Northwest (Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang) pass Phu Dong bridge - Thanh Tri bridge - elevated Ring Road 3 - Thang Long - Vo Van Kiet bridge...

Vehicles from the North (Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho, Tuyen Quang) to the South (Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa) along National Highway 2 - Vo Van Kiet - Thang Long Bridge - elevated Ring Road 3 - Cau Gie - Ninh Binh Expressway.

Trucks with a load capacity of 10 tons or more traveling on the elevated Ring Road 3 will be restricted from turning down at the intersections of Pham Van Dong, Pham Hung, Khuat Duy Tien, Nguyen Xien.

The police recommend that people coming to Hanoi to attend the celebration should take buses, public transport, especially elevated metro trains, or walk on the streets around Ba Dinh Square.

Banning roads for exhibitions in Dong Anh

In addition to serving the parade, Hanoi City Police also temporarily banned and restricted vehicles from 6am to 7pm on August 28 to September 5 in Dong Anh area to organize the Socio-Economic Achievement Exhibition. Trucks with a capacity of 3.5 tons, passenger cars with 29 seats or more are prohibited; private cars, smaller passenger cars and motorbikes are restricted to circulation on Ly Son, Truong Sa, Hoang Sa streets.
