Mr. Tran Quang Khang - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lai Chau province said that Lai Chau is a border province of the country, bordering Yunnan province (China) to the north. Lai Chau does not have much information on the tourism map, but Lai Chau owns two important tourism resources: natural tourism resources and human tourism resources.
Lai Chau is a province with great potential for tourism development, however, there are still few products and little information on the Vietnam tourism map. Therefore, by choosing Da Nang - a central city of the Central region, Lai Chau hopes that the differences in climate conditions, natural landscapes, especially the unique cultural traditions of ethnic groups will be used to promote the potential and tourism products to Da Nang.
Thereby, it is possible to connect travel businesses and service establishments of Lai Chau province with travel businesses nationwide; build connecting tour programs, exchange sources of visitors to and from the two localities in the shortest time.
According to Mr. Ha Van Sieu - Deputy Director of Vietnam National Tourism Administration, each locality has its own initiative and way of doing things. Lai Chau brings to Da Nang a unique color to search for and connect with Da Nang businesses, as well as introduce the beauty, attractiveness, and sincere invitation of Lai Chau. This is the way to lay the foundation and premise for the next steps for Lai Chau to gradually take off.
Each locality makes efforts like Lai Chau will create an increasingly bright national tourism picture. Lai Chau coming to Da Nang is not only introducing but also learning Da Nang's way of doing tourism, at the same time trying its best to demonstrate and introduce itself in the best way its potentials and strengths.
