According to the policy of the Hanoi People's Committee, on National Day September 2nd, scenic spots, historical relics, and cultural works with fees in the city will be open for free.
The list includes many familiar destinations including: Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Kim Ngan Temple, Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, De Quan Temple, Ngoc Son Temple, Hanoi Old Quarter Cultural Exchange Center, Hoa Lo Prison, Quan Thanh Temple, Huong Son Scenic Relic Area (Huong Pagoda), Duong Lam Ancient Village, Relic No. 22 Hang Buom, Thay Pagoda, Heritage House No. 87 Ma May, Tay Phuong Pagoda, Hanoi Museum, Co Loa Relic Area, Bach Ma Temple.
Specifically, Hoan Kiem ward has 6 relic sites open for free on September 2nd, including Bach Ma Temple, Kim Ngan communal house, Heritage House 87 Ma May, Relic 22 Hang Buom, Relic 28 Hang Buom and Hanoi Old Quarter Cultural Exchange Center.
In addition, visitors can visit the Vietnam Military History Museum, the Village of Culture - Tourism of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups for free...
These relic sites are open in the morning from 8am to 12pm and in the afternoon from 1:30pm to 5:30pm.
Diverse choices for fun and exploring the Capital's culture
In addition to free ticket relic sites, Hanoi organizes many cultural, artistic and exhibition activities during National Day.
On September 1st and 2nd, in the flower garden area of Ba Kieu Temple, in front of the statue "Determined to die for the Fatherland to live", an art program was held by the Hanoi Cheo Theater.
On September 2nd, a number of art programs were held at Thong Nhat Park, My Dinh stadium square area and Lac Long Quan flower garden.
Photo exhibition "Radiant Mountains and Rivers of Vietnam" at Exhibition House No. 93 Dinh Tien Hoang, Hoan Kiem ward, taking place from August 28 to September 6. The city also organizes spaces to display creative products from traditional craft villages and contemporary handicraft art spaces in the Trang Tien area.
Notably, on the evening of September 2nd, Hanoi organized fireworks displays from 9:00 PM to 9:15 PM at 5 locations, including the area in front of the Hanoi Moi Newspaper (old) headquarters, in front of Hanoi Post Office, Thong Nhat Park, F1 racetrack and Lac Long Quan flower garden.
For convenience for people and tourists to travel, Hanoi exempts fares on 128 subsidized bus routes and 2 urban railway routes from August 29 to the end of September 2. Two urban railway routes are applied including route 2A Cat Linh - Ha Dong and route 3.1 Nhon - Cau Giay, elevated section.
People and tourists can combine using public transport with visiting historical sites, scenic spots and cultural spaces during the National Day. When visiting tourist attractions, it is necessary to comply with regulations on opening hours, maintain hygiene, landscape and follow the instructions of the management board.
