The Khen Mong Festival and the To Day Flower Festival will officially open tonight (January 3rd). However, right from the first days of the new year, the festival atmosphere has spread throughout the commune as the number of tourists flocking in has increased sharply, accommodation establishments are simultaneously fully booked, and localized traffic jams appear on many roads.
According to Lao Dong's records, the entire accommodation system in Mu Cang Chai commune with about 100 locations including hotels, guesthouses and homestays has been booked early.

Room occupancy rate reached 100%, many establishments had to hang "Out of rooms" signs to limit customers from continuing to call and ask.
Not only accommodation establishments, restaurants and eateries in the central area of the commune are also always crowded, and at many times tourists have to wait for their turn to serve.
Ms. Lo Thi Hung - owner of Tram Pa Phinh Top restaurant said that since January 1st, the restaurant has received many customers ordering rice. By the evening of January 2nd, some groups of tourists came without booking in advance, the restaurant was overloaded, and there was not enough space to welcome them.

On the main road leading to the commune center, there is a slight congestion due to the increased number of vehicles, some road sections affected by landslides are only enough for one lane of traffic.
Functional forces recommend that people and tourists proactively monitor traffic conditions, move slowly, and ensure safety when passing through areas with complex terrain.

Due to the 4-day New Year holiday, the number of tourists coming to visit, relax, and experience in the area has increased sharply.
In parallel with the work of welcoming guests, security and order assurance has been synchronously deployed by Mu Cang Chai Commune Police.
Traffic diversion plans, ensuring safety in the festival center area, accommodation points and event area are arranged early, in order to create favorable conditions for tourists to participate in the festival in a safe and civilized atmosphere.

Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Le Xuan Duong - Head of the Culture Department of Mu Cang Chai commune said that the preparations for the Mong Khen Festival have been basically completed by this time.
We are very pleased that the number of tourists coming to Mu Cang Chai has increased higher than expected. This shows the attractiveness of the festival as well as the effectiveness of communication and promotion in the past time.
Local authorities and people are ready to welcome delegates and tourists from near and far to celebrate the festival, experiencing the unique cultural space of the H'Mong people amidst the brilliant flower season," Mr. Duong shared.
