The establishment of the Steering Committee for Tourism Development and Image Building of Dong Thap province (abbreviated as the Steering Committee) is on the basis of merging the Steering Committee for Tourism Development and Image Building of Dong Thap province (old) and the Steering Committee for the implementation of Resolution No. 11-NQ/TU dated April 5, 2017 of the Provincial Party Committee on tourism development of Tien Giang province until 2020 and orientation to 2030.
According to the Decision, Mr. Huynh Minh Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, is the Head of the Steering Committee. Ms. Nguyen Thi Uyen Trang, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, is Deputy Head of the Department.
The members of the Steering Committee include Mr. and Mrs. Nguyen Cong Minh, Nguyen Van Vu Minh, Le Giang, Vo Pham Tan, Huynh Thi Phuong, Dang Van Tuan, Huynh Tat Dat, Nguyen Doan Thanh Tuyet, Lam Thi Ngoc Kim, Tran Minh Duc, Nguyen Minh Tan, Tran Van Hien.
The Standing Agency of the Steering Committee is located at the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Thap province.
The Steering Committee is responsible for researching and proposing to the Provincial People's Committee directions, tasks and solutions to develop tourism; assisting the Provincial People's Committee in some related tasks; organizing conference to review, summarize the implementation of tourism development programs and periodically report according to regulations.
