Dong Thap Electronic Information Portal reported that on the afternoon of August 29, Provincial Party Secretary Le Quoc Phong had a survey of Sa Dec flower village, and at the same time worked on the production of ornamental flower varieties for the Tet market, serving the 2nd Sa Dec ornamental flower festival. Also attending were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee (PPC) Huynh Minh Tuan and leaders of Sa Dec ward, related departments and branches.
Provincial Party Secretary Le Quoc Phong emphasized that the 2nd Sa Dec Flower - ornamental Plants Festival in 2025 is an important event, related to the image of the province and the Sa Dec flower village brand, so it needs to be carefully and comprehensively prepared.

Mr. Phong noted that 6 main points that need to be focused on in preparation are the square area, park, flower village, Huynh Thuy Le ancient house, the tree center and connecting routes. In particular, it is necessary to arrange in the square, ensuring maximum promotion of functions, ensuring harmony between spaces; the miniatures and large-scale scenery need to be designed to be both highly aesthetic and have the meaning of introducing local typical products.
In addition, in the Sa Dec Flower Village area, the Secretary of Dong Thap requested a plan to renovate the overall landscape, sanitize the landscape and space to best serve visitors; encourage people to display beautiful, unique products imbued with local identity.
At the meeting with Sa Dec's Shops, Cooperatives and Farmers, representatives of the units also expressed their excitement when the province continued to organize the Sa Dec Flower - Ornamental plants Festival; proposed many solutions to improve the quality of the festival.

Accordingly, the opinions are proposed to focus on diversifying display products, adding bonsai trees to promote the brand; organizing the most beautiful flower selection contest; planning focused flower growing areas associated with tourism development; investing in transport infrastructure, ancillary services; early planning of areas with limited supply due to limited supply; promoting the development of quality ornamental flower varieties; carefully preparing accommodation, hotels, and means of transportation to better serve visitors to the festival.
The Provincial Party Secretary acknowledged the opinions and assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to study solutions to develop the Sa Dec ornamental flower industry in a sustainable direction, diversify products, expand the market and move towards building ornamental flowers into a key industry of the province.
