The delegation worked with Tramonto Phu Quoc Hotel (An Thoi area) regarding a case of booking a room through Mytour.vn. On December 19, 2025, guests booked 4 nights at a price of 1,350,000 VND/room and transferred a deposit of more than 5 million VND, but the confirmation email was sent to an old employee.
Until December 23, 2025, the hotel received information from this staff that the rooms were sold out. The hotel apologized and requested tourists to cancel room bookings on the application. At the same time, it proposed refunds and support for booking rooms at other accommodation establishments for guests. However, the guest did not agree.
After working with the inter-sectoral inspection team, the hotel representative apologized and returned all deposits, committing to learn from experience.

The inspection team worked with Lan Rung Coffee establishment (neighborhood 7, An Thoi), which combines the business of boarding houses.
Previously, on January 16, 2026, a tourist reflected through the hotline of Phu Quoc Special Zone People's Committee about having deposited 1,650,000 VND for a room, but when he came to receive the room, another room was arranged, which was in the process of being completed. After staying for 2 days, the tourist left.
Through working, the establishment owner said that the boarding house area has just resumed operations for about a month and has been handed over to relatives for management. The establishment owner has requested 100% return of the deposit to tourists.
According to the leader of Phu Quoc Special Administrative Region People's Committee, in the past time, some violations of business ethics have been directly reflected by customers through the hotline of the Special Administrative Region People's Committee. The surprise inspection team has promptly rectified tourism service business establishments, established discipline in business operations, contributing to eliminating the scourge of overcharging prices and soliciting tourists.
