On June 9, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Binh province said that within the framework of the visit and work in the Kingdom of Belgium, the provincial working delegation signed many memorandums of understanding on cooperation, expanding investment promotion and tourism promotion in Europe.
Leading the working delegation was Mr. Doan Ngoc Lam - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; accompanied by Mr. Nguyen Cong Huan - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, leaders of the Departments of Culture - Sports and Tourism, Finance, Science - Technology and the Provincial People's Committee Office.
At the Conference "Promoting the resources of the Vietnamese community to promote Vietnam - EU relations" held in Brussels, the provincial working delegation introduced the socio-economic development situation, potential and strengths of Quang Binh.
In particular, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Doan Ngoc Lam emphasized: Quang Binh owns the Phong Nha - Ke Bang World Natural Heritage with hundreds of magnificent caves, along with pristine beaches, rich historical sites and unique cuisine.
The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Binh province said that the province is promoting sustainable tourism development, focusing on tourist experiences, and at the same time calling on the Vietnamese community in Europe to join hands to promote the image of the homeland to international friends.
During the working program, the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism of Quang Binh province had bilateral meetings with 11 Vietnamese associations in Europe such as the Vietnam People's Association in Belgium, the Vietnam Association for the Promotion of Culture and Tourism in Europe, AVSE Global, VietLux Network, Vietnam Business Associations in France, Belgium, Bulgaria, Hungary... to discuss, promote and promote investment in tourism, green agriculture, high-tech agriculture, renewable energy, processing industry, marine economy and logistics.
At the meetings, representatives of Quang Binh province shared strategic orientations for tourism development, investment potential and typical local products. The sides discussed opportunities to build tours for overseas Vietnamese, connect to international markets, and promote investment in key areas such as renewable energy, high-tech agriculture, and marine economy.
In particular, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Binh has signed 6 memorandums of understanding on cooperation with partners in Europe on tourism promotion, advertising and development. The minutes aim to promote connections with tourism businesses, organize cultural and tourism events of Quang Binh in Europe and support the training of high-quality human resources.
The working trip demonstrates the efforts of Quang Binh province in expanding the international tourist market, mobilizing resources from overseas Vietnamese, businessmen and Vietnamese intellectuals in Europe to develop the socio-economy in the coming time.
