In addition, the number of goods loading and unloading through the airport is estimated at 0.71 tons, down 77.18% over the same period. The airport's service revenue in the first 6 months of the year is estimated at more than VND5.6 billion, down 40.1% over the same period.
In the first 6 months of the year, passenger transport in Dien Bien province is estimated to reach more than 1.76 million passengers, down 6.93% over the same period. Cargo transport reached more than 5 million tons of goods, up 18.82% over the same period.
Also according to the Dien Bien Provincial Statistics Office, in the first 6 months of the year, the number of visitors and tourism service revenue decreased sharply due to no longer having major cultural and political events like the same period last year.
The province is expected to welcome 824,900 visitors (down 39.73%), reaching 56.89% of the plan; of which 7,301 were international visitors (up 13.48%), reaching 2.43% of the plan. Tourism revenue is estimated at nearly 1,500 billion VND (down 39.69%), reaching 62.2% of the annual plan.
The total state budget revenue in the first 6 months of 2025 reached over VND1,000 billion, up 59.68% over the same period.
