According to a report by the People's Committee of Truong Long Hoa commune (Vinh Long), in the first 5 days of the new year (from the 1st to the 5th day of Binh Ngo Tet), Ba Dong beach tourist area welcomed about 18,000 visitors to visit and play. Compared to the same period in 2025, the number of visitors increased significantly. Revenue is estimated at about 3 billion 600 million VND.
Real-world records show that the beach area in the early spring days is quite bustling. The number of vehicles pouring in increased sharply but there was no prolonged congestion. Parking points and eateries operated stably. Security and order assurance, environmental sanitation were strengthened by the locality to serve tourists.
Ms. Tran Cam Van (Dong Thap) said that during Tet she visited friends in Duyen Hai ward and combined visiting Ba Dong beach. According to Ms. Van, transportation is convenient, so travel is fast, the beach is clean and the space is spacious.
My family goes to the beach, takes photos and enjoys seafood. Service prices are generally stable, no high increases are seen," Ms. Van shared.
Huynh Minh Thang (24 years old, Tay Ninh) and a group of about 8 friends chose Ba Dong beach as a spring tourist destination. Thang said that the group had planned before Tet, wanting to find a new destination to change the atmosphere.
Driving early to come here to play. The sea is crowded but not too suffocating, taking pictures with the wind turbine is very beautiful. Going with friends like that is both fun and cost-saving, experiencing the sea atmosphere at the beginning of the year," Thang added.

Mr. Pham Hai Au - Vice Chairman of Truong Long Hoa Commune People's Committee said that the locality has proactively developed a plan to serve visitors from before Tet. "The ward committee established a rescue and relief team on duty at Ba Dong beach and surrounding areas to ensure safety for tourists," Mr. Au informed.
According to Mr. Au, the force is on duty from the 29th to the 5th day of Tet, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily, with 10 people rotating each day.
Along with synchronous investment in transport infrastructure such as upgrading National Highway 53, completing Ba Dong bridge and coastal roads, and tightening safety and order assurance has contributed to creating an image of a safe and friendly destination.
In addition to playing at the beach, visitors can combine visiting destinations in the area such as Truc Lam Zen Monastery in Tra Vinh, Con Tau and Con Ong Weapons Reception Wharf Relic Area and coastal wind power area.
The increase in tourists during Tet not only creates revenue for the locality but also shows the attractiveness of Tra Vinh beach tourism when infrastructure is gradually completed, services are kept stable, meeting the entertainment needs of people at the beginning of the year.
