On August 31, in the series of activities of the 2nd Krong Pak Durian Festival in 2024, the Contest for Good Durian Farmers began.
This activity aims to honor good durian farmers. Thereby, creating motivation for farmers to continue working, producing, improving productivity and quality of agricultural products.
At the contest, within 6 minutes, each team will type and label each durian according to export standards.
11 durian knocking teams from 11 communes and towns in Krong Pak district used all their skills and knowledge to perform in the competition.
Farmer Nguyen Van Quang (residing in Ea Knuech commune, Krong Pak district) shared: "Participants must focus on looking, listening, feeling... to know whether the durian meets the standards or not. At first glance it seems easy, but this requires the worker to go through a long process of training and accumulating experience to be able to recognize it."
According to Mr. Nguyen Huy Hoang - Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Krong Pac district, the district is the durian capital of Dak Lak province in particular and the whole country in general. The contest aims to honor talented durian farmers. This is one of the very meaningful activities of this year's festival.
