On the evening of August 31, the opening ceremony of the 2nd Krong Pak Durian Festival in 2024 will officially take place in the center of Phuoc An town, Krong Pak district, Dak Lak province.
According to the reporter's records, from noon to afternoon of the same day, there were many vehicles traveling on National Highway 26 (from Buon Ma Thuot city to Krong Pak district and Ea Kar district to Krong Pak district).
Most of the people living in Dak Lak province and tourists from other provinces and foreign countries flocked to attend this year's festival.
Mr. Tran Quang Manh (a tourist from Quang Tri province) shared: "On August 30, my family of 6 and I traveled from Quang Tri to Dak Lak to participate in the durian festival. Everyone in my family loves this specialty so we wanted to go there and eat it in the garden. In addition, this is also an opportunity for the whole family to visit and relax in the Central Highlands during the National Day holiday.
However, starting the journey from Buon Ma Thuot city to Krong Pak district, there were constant traffic jams. There were sections where I had to move little by little, which was very tiring and exhausting. Luckily, the car was full of gas, otherwise I wouldn't know what to do."
According to the Krong Pak District Police, in order to ensure traffic safety and order and avoid traffic congestion during the activities of the 2nd Krong Pak Durian Festival, the unit has just developed a plan to divide traffic and direct traffic. The implementation process will take place during the opening ceremony and street festival (from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on August 31 and September 1).
Trucks, cars, trucks under 8 tons, motorbikes... participating in traffic must comply with the instructions and routes set by the traffic police.
Vehicles traveling from Buon Ma Thuot city and Ea Kar district to Krong Pak district are all diverted to appropriate routes by authorities to avoid prolonged congestion.
The second durian festival with the theme "Krong Pak durian - Development and integration" took place from August 31 to September 2.
