Previously, 2 relic sites, Chan Sang Fort and Nam Chon Station, had been urgently excavated from May 2026. Up to now, the excavated pits have been completed.
The main purpose of organizing the field survey delegation is to assess the ability to connect historical relics at the foot of Hai Van Pass, including: Nam Chon Fort, Nam Chon Station, Chan Sang Fort, Dinh Hai Fortress and Hai Van Quan.
The activity aims to assess the current status of relics, consider the possibility of connecting into a historical heritage route, thereby serving the research, preservation and promotion of the value of the coastal defense relic system in Hai Van area in the coming time.
This is also the basis for specialized units to propose solutions for managing, preserving and exploiting heritage values associated with cultural, historical and tourism development of the locality.
