On July 26, at Ariyana Beach Garden, Da Nang City, nearly 2,000 domestic and international athletes participated in the 2026 Barefoot Beach Run (Barefoot Beach Run 2026). The event is one of the activities of the Da Nang Enjoying Festival 2026 - Enjoy Da Nang Festival 2026.

With the theme "Health training - Connecting the community - Spreading the image of a livable coastal city", the race aims to build a tourism product combining sports, health care and natural experiences. Contributing to promoting Da Nang's image as a dynamic and friendly destination.
In particular, the race is organized on a 4km long road entirely by My An beach sand. Instead of focusing on achievements, participants can run barefoot on the sand, breathe fresh sea air, welcome sunrise and immerse themselves in nature.

This year's race attracts many participants, from children, families, the elderly to amateur athletes and international tourists. According to the organizers, the event not only encourages a healthy lifestyle but also contributes to increasing the number of overnight guests, promoting the use of tourism, culinary and entertainment services in the city.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Cao Tri Dung - Chairman of Da Nang Tourism Association said that the barefoot race at sea is not only a community sports event but has become a typical tourism product of Da Nang. The attraction of nearly 2,000 athletes, including many international tourists, shows the attractiveness of professionally organized and unique events.
The Da Nang Tourism Association will continue to accompany units to develop more quality events, contributing to improving the tourist experience, increasing the competitiveness of destinations and promoting the sustainable development of the city's tourism industry," Mr. Dung said.

The organizers expect the success of Barefoot Beach Run 2026 to continue to affirm the effectiveness of the model combining sports, tourism, cuisine and community development, while contributing to promoting Da Nang's image as a destination for events and a healthy lifestyle.
