The smart tourism software application "NinhBinhTourismInfo" was developed specifically for tourists when experiencing tourism in Ninh Binh, aiming to connect managers, people, tourists and businesses. Thereby, the state management agency in Ninh Binh will monitor, operate, interact with tourists and units, organizations and individuals operating in the tourism sector.
Mr. Bui Van Manh - Director of Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Tourism said that on July 9, 2023, the smart tourism software application "Ninhbinhtourisminfo" was officially launched to celebrate the 63rd anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam Tourism Industry (July 9, 1960 - July 9, 2023).
This is a step forward for Ninh Binh tourism in building and completing the smart tourism system of Ninh Binh province, increasing the attractiveness and important push for Ninh Binh's tourism products to have a worthy position, attracting more and more tourists.
In recent times, the application of information technology and digital platforms in tourism communication and promotion activities has been focused on by Ninh Binh province and the tourism industry. Accordingly, since 2016, the industry has built and developed three general electronic information pages to serve tourism management and promotion; effectively exploiting digital platforms and social networks to serve the promotion and attraction of tourists.
“The smart tourism software application “Ninhbinhtourisminfo” is expected to enhance accessibility and interaction, helping tourists update information about safe, friendly and attractive destinations in Ninh Binh to make suitable choices for their trip.
At the same time, connecting managers, people, tourists and businesses; state management agencies monitor, operate, interact with units, organizations, individuals operating in the tourism sector; tourism businesses strengthen links, connections, forming new tours; creating more conditions for tourists to have the opportunity to learn about the unique and different beauty of Ninh Binh" - Mr. Manh shared.
According to Mr. Manh, by using the smart tourism software application "Ninhbinhtourisminfo", tourists are provided with information on tourist destinations and traditional festivals in Ninh Binh; information on restaurants, hotels, reservations for food and accommodation; service experience reviews; search for information on shopping, sightseeing, entertainment, travel services, transportation, healthcare, ATMs, police headquarters, post offices, etc. The application can be downloaded via QR code from the App store or Google play.
By the end of November 2024, the entire Ninh Binh province had welcomed nearly 8.1 million tourists, an increase of 30.44% over the same period last year, exceeding the 2024 plan by 8.06%. Of which, international visitors reached 1.08 million, the highest ever and accounting for nearly 7% of the total number of international tourists to Vietnam.
With steady steps, Ninh Binh is confident that it will achieve its goal of achieving total tourism revenue of over VND 8,000 billion by 2025, contributing about 6.5% of the province's GRDP. By 2030, total tourism revenue will reach VND 18,660 billion, contributing about 8% of the province's GRDP, making Ninh Binh a major center with high brand value in tourism, cultural industry, and heritage economy of the whole country and the Asia-Pacific region.
