In which, Ho Chi Minh City is estimated to welcome and serve 1,240,000 visitors, an increase of 65% compared to the same period in 2025; of which international visitors are estimated at about 75,726, an increase of 83%. Room occupancy rate reaches about 75%; total revenue from tourists is estimated at about 2,632 billion VND.
Hanoi is estimated to welcome and serve 560,000 visitors, an increase of about 250% compared to the same period in 2025. In which, international visitors are estimated at about 110,000, an increase of about 287%; room occupancy is estimated at about 73%. Total revenue from tourists is estimated at about 2,100 billion VND, an increase of 254% compared to the same period in 2025.
Quang Ninh is estimated to welcome and serve 657,000 visitors. Of which, international visitors are estimated at about 70,500; overnight visitors are estimated at about 218,000. Total revenue from tourists is estimated at about 1,620 billion VND.

Lam Dong is estimated to welcome and serve 650,000 visitors; of which international visitors are estimated at 30,000. Room occupancy rate reaches about 70 - 80%; total revenue from tourists is estimated at about 1,200 billion VND.
Ninh Binh is estimated to welcome and serve 723,063 visitors. Of which, international visitors are estimated at 177,974; total revenue from tourists is estimated at about 795 billion VND.
Lao Cai is estimated to welcome and serve 363,112 visitors. Of which international visitors are estimated at about 32,298; total revenue from tourists is estimated at about 1,500 billion VND.
In addition, many localities such as Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, An Giang, Phu Tho, Hue City, Hai Phong... also recorded positive growth results in both visitor and revenue, reflecting the trend of market recovery and expansion taking place quite uniformly.
The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism assessed that the 2026 New Year's Day tour market witnessed more diversity in destinations, richness in product types and a clear improvement in service quality.

Some destinations such as Sa Pa, Dong Van, Moc Chau, Mang Den, Phu Quoc, Da Nang, Hanoi Old Quarter and the center of Ho Chi Minh City recorded room occupancy reaching 100% from before the holiday.
The aviation industry is increasing domestic airlines, but ticket prices are increasing near holidays due to the demand for late-night tour bookings. The railway industry recorded a sharp increase in passenger volume, with many key tourist routes at both the North and South ends fully booked during peak days.
