Speaking to welcome, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Dung - Deputy Director of the Department said that in 2025, Vinh Long's tourism industry has many positive changes, gradually overcoming difficulties, affirming its role in the local economic structure.
After completing the arrangement of administrative units, the tourism development space is expanded, creating conditions for the formation of continuous and diverse products and routes, enhancing attractiveness to domestic and international tourists.
Vinh Long tourism has gradually shifted from a "stopover" to a "destination", with many products bearing the identity of rivers and gardens; community tourism, ecotourism, and agricultural experience models continue to be effective.

In 2025, the province welcomed more than 9.3 million visitors, an increase of 13.4%; international visitors reached over 1.27 million, an increase of 71.6%. Total tourism revenue was nearly 8,000 billion VND, an increase of 17.6%, exceeding the set plan.
At the meeting, associations and businesses exchanged and proposed many development solutions, shaping a new tourism strategy, and improving the quality of products and services.
With the spirit of "connection - companionship - development", the government and businesses expect to make Vinh Long tourism break through, becoming an attractive destination of the Mekong Delta region.

Speaking at the event, Ms. Nguyen Thi Be Muoi - Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized: "Vinh Long strives to make tourism an important economic sector, gradually building the locality into an attractive destination of the Mekong Delta region.
In 2026, the province sets a target to increase visitors by 10-12%, and total tourism revenue to increase by 20-21%. To achieve the target, businesses need to develop unique products, promote promotion, regional linkages and apply technology.
In addition, the province identifies building a "green - sustainable - identity" tourism brand as a consistent orientation; encouraging businesses to improve service quality, protect the environment, and effectively exploit indigenous resources.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee commended many collectives and individuals who made positive contributions in 2025; and also recognized Diamond Stars Ben Tre Hotel for winning the ASEAN Tourism Award 2025 in the meeting room category.
Previously, this unit achieved the title of ASEAN Green Hotel 2024, raising the total number of Vinh Long tourism units winning ASEAN awards to 19, contributing to affirming the local tourism position.
