In the recent episode of KBS2's “Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant,” Korean singer Kim Jae Joong faced pressure from his parents and family members to get married.
During dinner with his sisters, Jae Joong shared how his parents pressured him to get married. He said his mother expressed concern about his age, saying, "You're turning 40 next year. You need to get married soon!"
Kim Jae Joong is 38 years old this year. Although the singer has hinted that he might get married sometime in his 40s or even 49, his parents don't believe him.
The conversation quickly escalated, as Kim Jae Joong's sisters were also divided on the issue.
While some of Jae Jong's sisters supported the idea of settling down, others expressed concern about the challenges his future wife might face in joining such a large family. Jae Joong has eight sisters and his extended family has more than 30 members.
To lighten the mood, Jae Joong jokingly recorded a video message to his future wife. He assured her that, despite his large and noisy family, he would give her plenty of privacy.
"I don't know when or if you'll ever show up, but please don't feel too pressured or burdened. My family may be noisy, but it's more fun than lonely. And I'll make sure you have plenty of time for yourself. Don't worry, I'll balance everything. I hope you'll show up one day" - Kim Jae Joong sent a message to his future wife.
Kim Jae Joong debuted in 2003 as a member of the legendary boy band TVXQ (or DBSK) under SM Entertainment.
In 2009, Jae Joong, along with two members Park Yoo Chun and Kim Jun Su, filed a lawsuit against SM due to harsh contracts. They then separated from TVXQ and formed a new group called JYJ.
In June 2023, Kim Jae Joong established his own company iNKODE Entertainment. In the previous episode of “Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant,” Jae Joong told his parents that he would consider getting married in at least 3 years, when the company is stable.
This coming October, Kim Jae Joong's company will debut their first girl group called Say My Name, consisting of 7 members: Dohee, Kanny, Mei, Junhwi, Soha, Seungjoo and Hitomi.
According to Korean media, Kim Jae Joong is the richest Kpop artist with a net worth of hundreds of millions of USD.
