Making handmade flowers made of galvanized velvet to decorate the house is currently loved by many housewives for its uniqueness as well as high durability.
Without being too skillful or spending a lot of money, housewives can completely create beautiful flowers themselves to decorate the house more uniquely.
Before doing it, prepare basic items including velvet zinc, you should choose colors according to your preferences for flower petals, stigmas and stems with leaves; zinc branches; wax wrapping branches; sharpeners, small pliers, glue guns...
Accordingly, velvet zinc is a type of zinc vine wrapped in a soft layer of velvet, easy to bend and maintain shape well. Housewives should start with the flower petals. Cut the velvet zinc into equally long sections, about 8-10cm depending on the desired flower size. Fold the zinc section in half, then gently squeeze at both ends to create soft curves for the flower petals.
With a simple 5-petal chrysanthemum pattern, housewives need to make 5 separate petals. To make the flower petals soft, you can gently bend the tip of the petal slightly outwards or gently squeeze the tip of the petal.
The flower pistil is an important highlight that helps the flower look more prominent. Use a favorite colored velvet thread and start rolling it tightly from the end of the thread into the inside in a spiral shape. When rolling to a sufficient size (about 1.5 - 2cm in diameter), cut off the excess and use candlestick glue to fix the edge to ensure that the pistil does not pop out.
Use a glue gun to dab a sufficient amount of glue on the back of the yellow flower pistil, then successively attach 5 blue petals around the pistil. Hold tight for a few seconds for the glue to dry and help the details of the flower stick together firmly.
Next, take the prepared hard zinc branch, thread or glue it to the back of the flower to make the stem. Use wax to wrap the green branch firmly from the flower bed down to the entire zinc stem to cover the connections as well as create a natural look for the flower branch.
To prevent the flower branch from being monotonous, decorate with a few green leaves. Cut the green velvet zinc into short sections of about 5-7cm, fold them in half and twist gently at both ends to create a long leaf shape. Use candlesticks to attach the leaves to the flower stem and then adjust the shape of the flowers and leaves to be harmonious, soft and most natural.
