In the afternoon of January 14, answering press questions about the preparation process for the 14th Party Congress, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee Trinh Van Quyet affirmed that the preparation of draft documents submitted to the 14th Party Congress is identified as a particularly important political task, which has been deployed very elaborately, methodically, and scientifically.
The draft documents not only summarize the journey in the past 5 years, but also identify goals and tasks in the next term, clearly showing strategic thinking, long-term vision and national development orientation to the mid-21st century.
The collection of opinions from all walks of life on the draft document of the 14th Party Congress is a particularly important, widespread, democratic political activity throughout the Party and the people, which is implemented very seriously and substantively.
In just one month of collecting opinions, nearly 14 million opinions contributed, with nearly 5 million party members and people contributing opinions.
“Basically, the opinions show very high political responsibility, high consensus with the contents in the draft document, and highly appreciate the methodical approach of the Politburo, the Secretariat, and the Central Executive Committee. The Politburo, the Secretariat, and the Central Executive Committee have seriously absorbed the maximum to complete the draft document.
We are sure that with high unity throughout the Party, consensus among the people, the 14th Congress will have important and strategic decisions, the resolution of the 14th Congress will be the resolution of innovation, bringing the country to develop richly, prosperously, and civilized...", said the Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee.
Regarding preparations for the 14th National Congress, Deputy Chief of the Standing Office of the Central Party Office Nguyen Thi Thu Ha affirmed that so far, the work has been completed on schedule and according to set requirements, with many important new points.
Regarding the application of information technology in serving the Congress, the Party Central Committee Office has chaired and coordinated with relevant agencies to put into use a system to exploit information and documents to serve the Congress.
On January 10, the Central Office also distributed 1,586 computers to all official delegates of the Congress. According to calculations, there are about 1,000 pages of documents/delegate, but all paper documents have been distributed through the tablet system, according to Ms. Ha.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha cited the calculation that about 1.6 million pages of paper documents were replaced by documents on tablets, saving a large amount of resources in paper, printing ink and human resources. Up to now, most delegates have opened tablets and proactively researched documents early.
The Deputy Chief of the Standing Office of the Party Central Committee Office said that there is also an application of software to synthesize delegates' speeches at the Congress and many other software, which is proof of the spirit of reducing paperwork, saving costs and time thanks to the application of information technology.
