Preparation materials
400g fresh shrimp
200ml of fresh coconut water
2 shallots
2 cloves of garlic
Scallions
1 small chili if you like spicy food
fish sauce, sugar, seasoning granules, pepper, cooking oil
How to do
Step 1: Pre-processing ingredients

Wash the shrimp, cut off the beard and the pointed head. You can remove the black thread on the back of the shrimp to make the dish cleaner and tastier. Then let the shrimp drain.
Peel shallots and garlic, mince. Wash green onions, cut into small pieces. Slice chili peppers if used.
Step 2: Marinate shrimp

Put shrimp in a bowl, marinate with a little fish sauce, seasoning powder, pepper and minced shallots for about 15 minutes to let the shrimp absorb the flavor.
Do not marinate too much seasoning from the beginning because when braised with coconut water, the dish will have a natural sweetness.
Step 3: Rim shrimp
Place a pan on the stove, add a little cooking oil and heat up. Sauté shallots and minced garlic until fragrant, then add shrimp and stir well until shrimp are firm and turn beautiful orange-red.

Continue to add fresh coconut water to the pan, reduce heat and simmer the shrimp for about 10-15 minutes. While simmering, stir gently from time to time so that the shrimp absorb the spices evenly.
Step 4: Complete the dish
When the braised broth thickens, add fish sauce or sugar to taste. Add scallions and chili, stir quickly and turn off the heat.

Shrimp braised in coconut water should be served when still hot, eaten with white rice. The dish has a rich flavor, light aroma of coconut water, suitable for both adults and children in family meals.
