At the program "Meeting for Lunch" hosted by MC Thanh Van, My Nga's story (born in 1992, Dong Thap) quickly attracted the attention of the audience with her rare naivety in the dating TV space, which is familiar with love stories with many stumbles.
My Nga is currently a high school Geography teacher, with nearly 10 years of teaching. She considers herself a cheerful, approachable person but "a bit weak in housework" and especially... has never held her boyfriend's hand even though she has gone through three relationships. This sharing surprised the studio.
According to My Nga, her longest love affair lasted about 5 years, but it was long-distance love. "We only went out to eat, drink, and watch movies. I don't like touching, so I don't get too close," she said. When the MC asked again to confirm, the female teacher admitted that the only time she held hands with a man was... holding hands with a motorbike taxi driver to be led onto the car. The honest answer made the MC and the audience laugh, and at the same time opened up a rare story on television dating.
Sitting on the other side of the screen is Hong Phuc (born in 1992, Dak Lak), currently working in the field of bone and joint therapy in Ho Chi Minh City. He creates sympathy with his calm demeanor, mature way of speaking and just enough proactiveness.
Contrary to My Nga, Hong Phuc has gone through about 2-3 relationships, including a 5-year relationship. The two broke up peacefully because "they are no longer suitable for living culture".
Right from the listening and introduction, Hong Phuc expressed his impression with My Nga's gentleness, while the young teacher imagined the man on the other side as a "mature, warm" person. Common points gradually emerged: both born in 1992, all wanting a serious relationship, towards a long-term future.
The climax of the program came in the hand-holding confession challenge - an unprecedented situation for My Nga. Initially, she could not hide her confusion, admitting "very shy" because this was the first time.
Faced with that pressure, Hong Phuc chose a slow, gentle approach. He clearly stated his desire to find a sincere companion, ready for stability later, and asked permission to hold hands so that the two could "feel each other".
The moment the two closed their eyes and held hands in the MC's countdown became the emotional highlight of the broadcast episode. When asked about the first feeling, Hong Phuc shared that he felt the warmth, gentleness and maturity emanating from My Nga.
For her part, the teacher admitted that she is still shy, but feels sincerity and safety from the other person.
As a result, both of them pressed the heart button, agreeing to continue to learn about each other after the program. MC Thanh Van could not hide her emotion, calling this one of the most memorable "icebreaking" moments of the "Dreak Dinner" program.
