Chinese media recently reported on the inspiring story of Tang Shangjun, a young man famous for taking the university entrance exam continuously for 16 years, and in the 17th exam, he successfully passed the entrance exam to the Chinese National University of Education (guangzhou, Guangdong).
Tang Shangjun is expected to enroll on September 1.
Talking about the reason for persistently pursuing an exam career for 16 consecutive years, Tang shared with Southern Metropolis: "I think my life must have a complete university experience". This time, he is determined to do his best to complete 4 years of studying at school.
Tang Shangjun was accepted into the major at the Guangzhou City University campus. For him, Guangzhou is not a strange place. "Many of my compatriots come to Quang Dong to work. In 2014, when my family was most disadvantaged, I also went to Guangzhou to work as a worker. It is not too different from my hometown," Tang recalled.
In recent days, since the announcement of admission, Tang Shangjun has been carefully preparing for the new journey. He registered to borrow student capital, buy necessary items such as toothbrushes, sandals, towels and prepared photos and identification documents.
Although he knew he could buy these things when he went to school, Tang still wanted to prepare in advance and neatly store them in his suitcase. "These small things are not too serious," he explained shyly.
