Ariana Grande sues hacker after series of unreleased music leaks

Ariana Grande sues an anonymous hacker group accused of illegal intrusion, leaking many unreleased songs and images.

Ariana Grande has officially sued individuals accused of being behind a series of illegal intrusions, theft and dissemination of her unreleased music products.

The lawsuit was filed by the female singer in Los Angeles (USA) court, in which it is requested to identify the hackers believed to have hacked into the digital accounts of colleagues who used to work with her. Ariana Grande argues that these acts have lasted for many years, seriously affecting her privacy as well as her artistic creation process.

According to legal documents, the hackers did not directly target Ariana Grande's personal account but focused on people related to the music production process such as producers, photographers and technicians. By forms such as impersonation, email scams and access to devices, this group is believed to have taken away many unpublished data.

One of the most notable allegations is that dozens of Ariana Grande's unreleased songs were leaked recently. The lawsuit file shows that in 2023 alone, up to 45 unreleased songs of the female singer were stolen and illegally distributed online.

Ariana Grande's legal team believes that the cases are not isolated actions but are part of a series of organized acts aimed at exploiting the female singer's creative assets. The stolen content is believed to have been illegally exchanged and traded online, causing damage to her product release plan.

In addition to recordings, the lawsuit also mentions hackers accessing behind-the-scenes images and videos from recording sessions, the MV making process. In 2024, a group of subjects were accused of impersonating photographers by creating email accounts and similar domain names, then tricking a technician into sending undisclosed images of Ariana Grande.

Before suing, Ariana Grande had repeatedly expressed her frustration when her unfinished music products were leaked online. In a 2024 conversation, the female singer mentioned "Fantasize" - a song collaborated with famous producer Max Martin - after the recording leaked and spread strongly on TikTok.

Ariana Grande said that this song was originally made for another project and not an official product in her career. The female singer once called those who illegally disseminate the artist's music a serious violation of creative rights.

Through this lawsuit, Ariana Grande wants to force those behind the leaks to bear legal responsibility. The female singer's side believes that data intrusion and dissemination not only affects privacy but also disrupts music release strategies, causing economic and artistic losses.

The lawsuit takes place at a time when Ariana Grande is preparing to release her eighth studio album "Petal" and is on an international tour. After the success with the role of Glinda in the movie "Wicked", the female singer continues to focus on music activities, and also said she wants to put more effort into suitable projects instead of maintaining a too tight schedule.

With the new legal move, Ariana Grande has become one of the artists actively using legal measures to protect unreleased products in the context of data leakage becoming an increasingly major problem in the music industry.
