According to Allkpop, on September 16, the BTS fan community, known as ARMY, simultaneously used the hashtag #MinHeeJinOut in posts on social network X (or Twitter), expressing opposition to the return of former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin.
BTS fans have made this hashtag a top global trend, with more than 870 thousand posts as of the morning of September 17.
In their statement, ARMY said, "As members of the BTS ARMY community, we have witnessed false information spreading under our name. Through this statement, we would like to clarify our stance regarding the ongoing management situation.
First of all, we are united in opposing Min Hee Jin's return as CEO of HYBE's subsidiary, ADOR. We know about her actions during BTS's military service, consulting with shamans to harm BTS, and attempting to manipulate the Korean media to create negative public opinion about BTS and ARMY.
Considering this situation, we consider any media stories or unfounded accusations supporting Min Hee Jin to be part of her plan. We also know that BTS currently does not have the ability to freely express their opinions, which strengthens our stance.”
ARMY concluded, “We urge former CEO Min Hee Jin to stop using artists and fan communities as shields to promote her plans and spread false information.”
Min Hee Jin was removed from the position of CEO of ADOR (manager of the group NewJeans) on August 27. On September 11, NewJeans suddenly opened a livestream to denounce HYBE, demanding that Min Hee Jin be brought back to the CEO position and that ADOR be returned to its original state before September 25.
Jungkook then shocked the world by posting Instagram posts with the content "Artists are not guilty", "Don't take advantage of them", which is believed to support the group NewJeans.
Jungkook's actions have received criticism from HYBE staff on the Blind community page. There is even speculation that Jungkook and ARMY are also on Min Hee Jin's side. This is one of the reasons why BTS fans have stepped up their campaign against Min Hee Jin on social media.
