On the evening of January 15, according to Lao Dong reporters, in front of the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace (Hanoi), many people stood offering to buy tickets to watch the live recording of the program Meeting at the end of the year (Tao Quan).
These people not only advertise but also invite passersby to resell tickets. Before the show's recording, the price of tickets to watch Tao Quan increased "skyrocketingly".
Before the first rehearsal tonight, the ticket price is about 3 million VND/ticket, the quantity is very limited. If you buy 2 tickets next to each other, the price is 5 million VND/pair.
An enthusiastic woman offered to buy tickets for January 16 at 6 million VND/pair for seats on the 2nd floor, about 8-10 million VND/pair for seats on the 1st floor depending on the location near or far from the stage.
"On the 17th, tickets are even more expensive than on the 16th. This year, there are old artists so tickets are rare, so buy them now. You shouldn't wait until the last minute to buy them, because some years mornings and afternoons are expensive, evenings are cheap, but there are also years when the whole day is cheap, and when the last minute is very expensive. If you want to sit near the stage, the ticket price must be 10 million VND or more for a pair," this woman explained to customers asking to buy tickets.
Another "ticket scalper" is selling second-floor tickets for 4.5 million VND/pair. Ticket prices vary between sellers depending on the number of seats and the buy-back price from the ticket owner.
Tickets to watch the Tao Quan recording are not issued, they are only for invited guests, so the audience can go to watch by owning an invitation ticket or buying it from an intermediary.
As the filming date approached, ticket prices had increased compared to those posted for sale on online groups.
According to the information on the tickets, the recording of Tao Quan is scheduled to take place on January 16 and 17. A pair of tickets is priced from 1-8 million VND depending on the location. Pairs of tickets close to the stage can cost up to 10 million VND/pair.
Ticket sellers often ask for a deposit and a physical ticket on the day of filming. Some ask for full payment because ticket prices increase rapidly as the filming date approaches.
However, close to the show date, ticket sellers in front of the filming location had no more tickets under 4 million VND.
In 2024, even though the artist lineup has been "rejuvenated", tickets to watch the recording of the Tao Quan program are still quite high, with many different prices, from 1 million VND to 8 million VND.
The Tao Quan ticket trading situation takes place every year, depending on the attraction of the program. In 2023, Tao Quan tickets were sold for 4 million VND per pair right at the filming location.
