Recently, Disney has released the first trailer for the movie "Hoa Moc Lan". The trailer focuses on the main character played by Liu Yifei.
"Mulan" is the story of China's only female general. She pretended to be a boy, took over her father's army and brought back the achievements in the history books. The film was made by New Zealand director Niki Caro, who is known for many works such as Whale Rider (2002), North Country (2005), The Zookeeper's Wife (2017).
When Disney announced that it would make a live action version of Mulan starring Liu Yifei, the audience was not too interested because they were fed up with the acting ability of the billion-dollar fairy.
However, many big names such as Chan Tu Dan, Cung Loi and Ly Lien Kiet were revealed to participate in the film, causing public attention to special interest.
Although still loyal to the original plot, the live action version of "Hua Mulan" made a strong impression with a meticulously designed setting and costumes with strong Chinese character.
The setting was carefully invested to suit the historical moment in the film.
