At the end of July, when Apple TV+ posted the trailer of the drama " Pachinko 2 ", the audience was surprised when the singer performing the soundtrack (OST) for this movie was Rosé from Blackpink.
Rosé covered the song “Viva La Vida” by British band Coldplay.
On a group message with Instagram fans, the singer shared: “I am honored to be a part of the trailer and season 2 finale of the award-winning and globally acclaimed television series This".
This is the first time Rosé has sung a soundtrack after 8 years of debut. This information quickly caused a storm on social networks.
Recently, writer and producer Soo Hugh of "Pachinko" revealed the reason why Blackpink's vocalist participated in singing the soundtrack.
Soo Hugh shared: “For some reason, Coldplay's original song didn't blend well with the scenes, so we looked for a cover version. At that time, one of our producers Theresa knew Rosé, they were friends. I thought, what if it was Rosé, but also thought this would be difficult to come true.
But when we contacted Rosé, she immediately agreed and the collaboration was great. She is very enthusiastic, very easy to work with and also full of passion."
