The Vietnamese entertainment industry is not without pairs of brothers and sisters participating in art activities. Among them, Tan Beo and Tan Bo are famous for collaborating in a comedy group, creating a brand in the hearts of audiences.
Tan Beo and Tan Bo are biological brothers, born into a family with artistic traditions. The father of the two brothers is "plastic disc king" Tan Tai, the mother is Nhu Ngoc, famous on Cai Luong stage. Therefore, Tan Beo and Tan Bo are influenced by their families and have been oriented for development since childhood.
Tan Beo entered the profession first, going on stage from the age of 11. He soon showed his talent for comedy performance, being a potential face in art troupes. During his time working in Kim Thanh, Tan Beo followed his seniors to tour the Mekong Delta, becoming a name that attracted fans. In 1992, Tan Beo joined the Ho Chi Minh City art troupe, participating in cai luong plays.
In 1996, Tan Beo and artist My Chi formed a comedy group, opening a new path for themselves. In 1998, Tan Beo and Tan Bo officially went on stage together, becoming a famous couple known to many people.
In 2003, the two brothers won the "Best Comedy Group" award at the Comedy Gala. In addition, Tan Beo also won the "Best Comedian" award at the 9th Mai Vang Awards.
In the following years, Tan Beo - Tan Bo became increasingly famous, "pocketing" many titles and awards. The comedy artist pair continuously appeared on Southern drama stages, "sold out" with plays such as "Going to the pagoda to sell incense", "Nam No ve lang", "Mo lam ca si"...
After nearly 10 years of accompanying career development, Tan Beo and Tan Bo decided to break up the group and pursue their own path. The above decision left many regrets for the audience and both could not find the "aura" they once had after separating.
When leaving the group, Tan Beo continued to pursue his career and participate in television dramas. He has appeared in many works such as "Sweet Pineapple", "Legend of Forestry", "Love Case", "20 Days as a Father"... Tan Beo also accepts to act in sitcoms, sing events, and participate in many entertainment activities with artists.
Compared to his older brother, Tan Bo is more busy. When he first separated, the male artist did not have many opportunities to appear on stage but switched to acting. He continuously had roles in "When Men Get Pregnant", "Fairy Tale Dream", "Call at 0 o'clock", "Calley"...
In 2019, Tan Bo switched to working as a "show organizer", but after a while of encountering many problems, he could not continue his work.
