According to Allkpop, IU and Park Bo Gum are attracting attention with their explosive chemistry in Netflixs drama When Life Gives You Tangerines.
Fans also discovered evidence of IU and Park Bo Gum's long-time friendship.
A recent viral post compared the two in a promotional photo for Netflix's "When Life Is for You" with a photo in a promotional video they made together in 2012.

After 13 years, both IU and Park Bo Gum have shown maturity, but their beauty has not changed too much. The most obvious difference is that the star's demeanor is getting brighter and brighter.
In an interview with Teen Vogue, IU and Park Bo Gum revealed more about their 13-year friendship.
According to IU, one of the reasons she decided to take the lead role in the drama When Life Is for You, the tangerine was because she knew Park Bo Gum would be her co-star.
The first time I heard about Park Bo Gum participating in the film, IU was very surprised: As I remember, when I first heard that Bo Gum was chosen to play Gwan Sik, the first thing that came out of my mouth was: Is he that handsome? Is it okay for the character Gwan Sik to look like that?
Because if he were that handsome, I'm sure everyone on the island would probably love him, and I didn't think he could stay on the island."
In response, Park Bo Gum expressed his excitement at knowing IU would play the female lead: "For me, too, when I heard about casting, IU was someone I wanted to work with for a long time as an actress and an artist."
Park Bo Gum also shared about their friendship for more than a decade: "When we were teenagers, we met for the first time to film an advertisement together.
Then, when I was 20, I made a special appearance in the TV series The Producers (IU) and had the opportunity to work with her for a short time.
Now, when we are both in our 30s, we are finally working together on a project. Especially, because we are the same age, I think we had a great combination. We are very comfortable with each other. I almost wish that the time we would have each other would be longer.
As time passed, looking back, I only remember the happy moments on set, and I hope we will continue to have the opportunity to work together again.

Set in the 1960s on Jeju Island, When Life Gives You a Tangerine tells the story of the adventurous and challenging life of Ae Sun (played by IU) - a poor girl who wants to become a poet, and Gwan Sik (Park Bo Gum) - a quiet guy who has always respected and loved her for 4 seasons.
In its second week of release, When Life Is for You rose to the Top 2 of Netflixs most popular non-English-language TV show worldwide, with 6 million views.
At the same time, IU and Park Bo Gum have led the hottest Korean TV actors rankings for 2 consecutive weeks (according to Good Data).
