On July 19, after the Provincial Police prosecuted 2 teachers related to the corruption case in the 2026 high school graduation exam, the Steering Committee for the 2026 high school graduation exam of Quang Tri province had initial information about the case.
According to the press release of the Steering Committee for the 2026 high school graduation exam in Quang Tri province, in the past time, the Steering Committee has directed departments, branches, units and localities to coordinate in organizing the high school graduation exam in the province in accordance with regulations.
Up to now, the invigilation and grading work has basically been completed. The Department of Education and Training is implementing the review and review of exam results according to the direction of the Ministry of Education and Training, the Provincial People's Committee and implementing the next tasks according to regulations.
Regarding the reflection on abnormal signs in the exam supervision work at the Le Truc High School exam site, the Department of Education and Training has proactively coordinated closely with the Provincial Police and functional agencies to conduct reviews, verify, and clarify the case; and at the same time, implement measures to ensure the strictness and objectivity of the exam.
According to the investigation results of competent authorities, to date, 2 teachers on duty at the exam site and 9 candidates have been identified as directly related to fraud and negativity.
The two teachers include Mr. Tran Duc Luc - Head of Mathematics Professional Group of Le Truc High School, Deputy Head of Le Truc High School exam site and Ms. Doan Thi Thanh Binh - Head of Literature Professional Group of Le Truc High School, secretary of Le Truc High School exam site.
At the meeting on July 18, 2026, the Minister of Education and Training and the Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee agreed to direct strict, objective, and lawful handling; clarify the responsibilities of each related organization and individual; and at the same time requested to continue reviewing the organization of the exam in the province to promptly detect and strictly handle violations (if any).
Implementing the above direction, the Steering Committee for the 2026 high school graduation exam in Quang Tri province continues to direct functional agencies and units to handle the case in accordance with the law; at the same time, continue to review the organization of the Exam at exam sites in the province.
In case violations are detected, they will be strictly handled according to regulations; organize self-criticism and consider the responsibilities of collectives and individuals involved in the management, direction and organization of the exam in accordance with the Party's regulations and the State's laws.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported on the appearance of suspicious information about negativity at the Le Truc High School exam site.
Immediately after that, the Quang Tri Department of Education and Training reported to the Provincial People's Committee, and at the same time held an emergency meeting, established a working group to coordinate with the Provincial Police and functional agencies to verify and clarify the incident.
Quang Tri Provincial Police have prosecuted 2 teachers of Le Truc High School related to the case.
