Currently, some schools in the Ho Chi Minh City National University group have announced the score calculation formula.
University of Social Sciences and Humanities
Admission score = w1THPT + w2ĐGNL + w3HB + bonus points + priority points
w1, w2, w3 are the weight of high school graduation exam scores, competency assessment, and transcripts.
Before applying the formula, the component score will be converted to a scale of 100 as follows:
THPT= (High school graduation exam score according to admission combination) x 100/30.
ĐGNL = (Competency assessment test score) x 100/1200.
HB = (Average score of 3-year high school transcript according to admission combination) x 100/30.
University of Economics and Law
The common admission formula (maximum 100 points) is determined: Admission score = Academic score + Bonus points + Priority points for subjects and areas.
- Subject 1 (ĐT1): Candidates who participate in the ĐGNL exam at VNU-HCM in 2026
- Subject 2 (ĐT2): Candidates who do not participate in the ĐGNL exam at VNU-HCM in 2026
- Subject 3 (ĐT3): Free candidates who only participate in the ĐGNL VNU-HCM exam in 2026 (have graduated from high school)
- Subject 4 (DT4): Candidates with international admission certificates such as: international baccalaureate (IB), A-level, SAT, ACT.
University of Health Sciences
Admission score = Aptitude test score (AP) × a + High school graduation exam score × b + High school transcript score (HB) × c + Bonus points (if any) + Priority points for subjects and areas (if any).
In which, the minimum coefficient a (ĐGNL) is 40%, the maximum coefficient b (high school graduation exam score) is 35% and the maximum coefficient c (admission record) is 25%.
High school graduation exam scores and transcripts are calculated according to the subject combination for each major.
Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry - Maxillofacial, Traditional Medicine, Nursing use the combination B00 (Math - Chemistry - Biology) and A02 (Math - Physics - Biology).
Pharmacy considers combination B00 (Math - Chemistry - Biology) and A00 (Math - Physics - Chemistry).
University of Information Technology
Admission score = Hs1 x THPT + Hs2 x ĐGNL + Hs3 x HB + Plus points (if any) + Priority points (if any)
Score component coefficient: Hs1 = 47.5%, Hs2 = 47.5%, Hs3 = 5%
The admission score is calculated on a scale of 100 points, the maximum level is 100 points.
International University
Admission score (ĐXT) = (k1 x converted high school) + (k2 x converted ĐGNL exam score) + (k3 x converted high school transcript score) + Bonus points (if any) + Priority points (if any).

The admission score scale is 100.
High school exam score (converted) = Total score of 3 subjects in the 2026 high school graduation exam according to the combination converted to a 100-point scale.
ĐGNL exam score (converted) = ĐGNL exam score of VNU-HCM in 2026 converted to a 100-point scale.
Academic transcript score (converted) = The average score for the whole year of 3 subjects in the combination converted to a 100-point scale.
A bonus point (English certificate, excellent student awards at all levels, scientific research awards at all levels,...) is converted to a 100-point scale.
Subject priority points, regional priority points according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training are converted to a scale of 100.
