At about 3 pm on February 24 (ie, the 8th day of Tet), a fire broke out at a house on Do Xuan Hop street, Phuoc Long ward, causing many properties to be burned down.
According to initial information, at the above time, people living near the area suddenly discovered black smoke and flames billowing from a house on Do Xuan Hop street. Immediately, many people shouted and used mini fire extinguishers to put out the fire on the spot. However, because there were many flammable items inside, the fire quickly spread and flared up fiercely, causing on-site firefighting to fail.

Upon receiving the news, the fire fighting force mobilized specialized vehicles and officers and soldiers to urgently arrive at the scene. Functional forces proceeded to zone and spray water to cool down to prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent houses.
Recorded at the scene, by 3:30 pm on the same day, the fire was basically under control, functional forces are still spraying water to ensure the fire is completely extinguished. The fire did not cause any casualties but burned down most of the property inside the house.
Currently, functional agencies are cordoning off the scene, conducting an examination to investigate and clarify the cause as well as statistics on the extent of damage from this fire.
