MSc. Cu Xuan Tien - Head of Admissions and Student Affairs Department of University of Economics and Law (Ho Chi Minh City National University - VNU-HCM) said that in 2025, the school plans to enroll students according to 3 admission methods, including:
Method 1: Direct admission and priority for direct admission (up to 20% of total enrollment quota).
Method 2: Admission based on the results of the 2025 HCM National University's Competency Assessment Exam (about 40 - 60% of total enrollment target).
Method 3: Admission based on high school graduation exam results in 2025 (about 30% - 50% of total target).
At the same time, the University of Economics and Law also announced 4 subject combinations for admission in 2025, including: Math - English - Literature; Math - English - Physics; Math - English - Informatics; Math - English - Economic and Legal Education.
According to Master Cu Xuan Tien, the 2025 enrollment plan is designed to select excellent candidates, ensuring input quality in accordance with UEL's training requirements and meeting the strict demands of the labor market.
"The school plans to announce the detailed 2025 enrollment plan before February 2025. In case the Ministry of Education and Training and VNU-HCM issue new enrollment regulations, UEL will update and adjust the enrollment plan in accordance with current regulations," said Master Cu Xuan Tien.
Previously, Associate Professor Dr. Vu Hai Quan - Director of Ho Chi Minh City National University said that in 2025, 3 admission methods will be unified: Direct admission; Admission based on the results of the Competency Assessment Test organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University; Admission based on high school exam results.
Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Hai Quan added that member schools will be encouraged to develop a combined admission method.
Ho Chi Minh City National University will determine the threshold to ensure common input quality throughout the system. Units will be autonomous in determining and selecting admission criteria and implementation methods appropriate to their training majors.
