On the morning of May 25, nearly 43,000 candidates in Hung Yen province officially entered the 10th grade high school entrance exam for the 2026-2027 school year with the first exam subject being Literature.
According to records at some exam sites such as Thai Binh Specialized High School, Hung Yen High School, from early morning, a large number of candidates were present to stabilize their psychology and check their papers before entering the exam room. The weather in the first exam session was quite hot, sunny, the outdoor temperature was about 32 degrees Celsius.
At the Le Quy Don High School Exam Council (Tran Hung Dao ward), the exam site has 728 candidates, arranging 31 official exam rooms and 1 reserve exam room. Preparations for facilities, security, health, fire prevention and fighting, and preservation of exam papers and exam papers have been completed, ensuring the exam takes place safely and seriously.

Security around the exam areas is tightened. Police and traffic police forces are on duty at the school gate to regulate traffic, ensure security and order, and create favorable conditions for candidates to arrive at the exam sites on time.
Along with that, volunteer youth forces actively support and guide candidates into the exam room, distribute drinking water, divert traffic and remind parents to park and stop vehicles in accordance with regulations.

On the morning of May 25, candidates took the Literature exam in essay form, with a time of 120 minutes. According to the plan, in the afternoon of the same day, they continued to take the Math exam in multiple-choice form, with a time of 90 minutes.
On the morning of May 26, candidates will take the English exam with a time of 60 minutes; in the afternoon, those who register to take the exam for specialized schools will take the specialized subject exam in 150 minutes.
According to the Hung Yen Department of Education and Training, the whole province has 42,944 candidates registered to take the exam, of which 40,721 students take the exam for non-specialized public high schools and 2,223 students register to take the exam for specialized high schools.
To serve the exam, the province established 56 exam councils with 1,918 exam rooms, mobilizing nearly 5,973 officials, teachers, staff and forces to participate in the task.
