Regarding the exam fraud case at the Examination Prohibition Council of Tinh Gia 4 High School, the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa has just issued a decision to assign the school's management authority to Mr. Le Quoc Thinh - Vice Principal - to maintain stable operations after the principal was prosecuted.
Previously, on July 14, the Investigation Police Agency of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecuting 6 defendants for the crime of "Forgery in work" stipulated in Article 359 of the 2015 Penal Code.
Among the 6 defendants prosecuted, there is the Principal of Tinh Gia 4 High School, Mr. Luong Tu Le. Mr. Le is Chairman of the Board of Examination for Grade 10 High School for the 2024-2025 school year.
According to Mr. Le Quoc Thinh - Vice Principal in charge of Tinh Gia 4 High School, in addition to Mr. Le being prosecuted, Tinh Gia 4 High School also has 1 related Literature teacher, the rest are teachers of Tinh Gia 2 High School and other schools in the area.
According to the initial investigation results, the Economic Police Department of the Provincial Police discovered that in the entrance exam for grade 10 in the 2024-2025 school year, many candidates had unusually high scores. Since then, the authorities have verified the entire process of exam review and grading at exam boards in the area.
The police determined that at the Tinh Gia 4 High School Examination Border Council, a candidate's exam showed signs of being suaised, erased, and had the answer added to the exam to increase the score.
The Thanh Hoa Department of Education and Training said that after reviewing the situation, to ensure teaching and management activities, the department decided to temporarily suspend Mr. Luong Tu Le - Principal of Tinh Gia 4 High School. At the same time, Mr. Le Quoc Thinh - Vice Principal - was temporarily assigned to be in charge of and manage all activities of the school during the time the police agency investigated and handled the case.
The investigation agency emphasized: "The act of taking advantage of position and power to increase exam scores not only distorts admission results, but also seriously damages the reputation of the education sector, violates the legitimate rights of other candidates and loses public trust".
The case is being further investigated to clarify the role, responsibility, nature, and level of violation of each defendant. All related records and evidence are being consolidated for handling according to the provisions of law.
