On April 25, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha chaired a meeting of the City High School Graduation Exam Steering Committee in 2025 and the City Admissions and Exam Steering Committee for the 2025-2026 school year.
At the meeting, members of the Steering Committee contributed opinions on completing the draft plan for exams and admissions to unify implementation.
The units also reported on the preparation of facilities and human resources with the highest determination, ensuring the most favorable conditions for candidates and their families when participating in exams and admissions.
However, some opinions say that from July 1, the new apparatus of the government after the arrangement throughout the city will officially operate, while the enrollment plan for preschools, primary and 6th grades has been approved before, so the organization of enrollment may encounter some shortcomings.
Therefore, opinions suggest that the city consider and adjust the time for preschool, primary and 6th grade admissions earlier than the announced plan, possibly in June 2025. According to the announced plan, the enrollment period for preschool, grade 1 and grade 6 in the 2025-2026 school year in the city officially starts from July 1, 2025.
At the conference, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha said that the goal set for organizing exams and admissions in the city in 2025 is to ensure progress, quality, no disruption and impact on students.
Although administrative units have changed, Hanoi City still maintains the plan and time for organizing preschool and grade 1 and grade 6 enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year.

The city assigned the Department of Education and Training to coordinate with the Department of Culture and Sports to strengthen communication with the people, especially parents, about this content and affirmed: In any situation, Hanoi will best ensure the conditions and rights of students, minimizing disruption to the people.
Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha directed districts, towns and cities to proactively review locations planned to be held as exam locations; carefully prepare conditions for organizing exams and admissions; urgently deploy tasks assigned to ensure progress and quality.
From now until July 1, members of the Steering Committee need to closely follow the tasks, promptly grasp arising issues, and at the same time forecast the situation well to promptly handle situations.
The city assigned the City Police to develop a comprehensive plan to ensure security and order for exams and admissions throughout the city, including coordinating forces and organizing training.
