On June 11, at the Nguyen Hue High School exam site (Dinh Trang Thuong commune, Lam Dong province), the image of a female student who had just undergone surgery but still tried to complete 2 exam subjects, Literature and Mathematics, touched teachers, friends and forces on duty at the exam site.
On June 8, female student Ka Thoen (12A2 class, Nguyen Hue High School, Tan Thuong 3 village) suddenly had severe abdominal pain and was taken to the hospital. The diagnosis was acute appendicitis, requiring surgery on the same day.
After surgery, Ka Thoen continued to be monitored at the hospital and given intravenous fluids to recover her health. Although her physical condition was still weak and the incision was not stable, she still decided to participate in the important exam of her student life.
On the exam day of June 11, Ka Thoen had to endure the pain to be present at the exam site, completing two subjects: Literature and Mathematics.
Ms. Tran Thi Ha, Vice Principal of Nguyen Hue High School, Deputy Head of the exam site, said that the exam council has visited and created maximum conditions for candidates. The school is also ready to consider special admission plans according to regulations.
However, with the desire to use the exam results for university admission, Ka Thoen chose to continue taking the exam instead of applying for special admission.
During the days of preparing for the exam, the family is always on duty, supporting her travel and taking care of her health.
Although her health is still weak after surgery, Ka Thoen's efforts have left a beautiful and energetic image in this year's high school graduation exam in Lam Dong.
