Ready to support candidates
On the morning of June 7, the launching ceremony of the 2026 exam season support program was held at Hung Vuong High School, with the participation of a large number of volunteer students.
The atmosphere at the launching ceremony was lively. Volunteer students expressed their excitement and willingness to accompany candidates in this year's high school graduation exam.
For the first time wearing the blue shirt to support the exam season, Nguyen Trieu Man - a 3rd year student at Ho Chi Minh City University of Banking - could not hide his excitement when participating in supporting candidates at the 2026 high school graduation exam.
The atmosphere at the launching ceremony was very lively. I hope the candidates will maintain their psychology, be confident and achieve the best results in the 2026 high school graduation exam" - Trieu Man shared.
At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Dang Khoa - Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Student Association of Ho Chi Minh City - said that 2026 is the first year the program is implemented synchronously in all 3 local areas after arranging administrative units, contributing to expanding the scope of support, ensuring that all candidates in the city receive timely and effective companionship.
The 2026 Exam Season Support program continues to receive the response of city students with more than 25,000 registrations. After selection and training, more than 6,000 volunteer students were selected to directly support at 246 exam sites and 35 volunteer teams from universities, academies, and colleges in Ho Chi Minh City.
It is expected that the entire program will mobilize more than 30,000 turns of volunteer students to participate in supporting candidates during the high school graduation exam. Volunteers are equipped with skills to support candidates, handle situations, basic first aid, admission information counseling and coordinate with functional forces to ensure a safe and favorable exam environment.
In particular, this year's program expands the accompanying force with the participation of artists, entrepreneurs, international students and individuals with influence in the community.
Mobilizing social resources to care for disadvantaged candidates
The 2026 Exam Season Support Program is implemented in 3 phases including support before the April - June 2026 exam, support during the June 10 - 12 exam, and support after the July - September 2026 exam.
The organizers have mobilized many social resources to support candidates and volunteers. To date, the program has mobilized many diverse resources such as t-shirts, raincoats, umbrellas, drinking water and food, and stationery for candidates...
In phase 1, the program awarded 45 exam season support scholarships with a total current value of nearly 100 million VND, along with English scholarships and skills courses worth 16.5 million VND each.
2026 marks a special milestone marking the 30th anniversary of the university and college entrance exam support program (1997 - 2026) held in Ho Chi Minh City and the 25th anniversary of the program named "Exam Season Support" (2001 - 2026) being replicated nationwide.
The 2026 high school graduation exam will take place in 2 days, June 11 and 12. This year's exam has 1,223,776 registered candidates.
