Along with localities across the country, 100% of schools in Son La province simultaneously organized the opening ceremony of the 2026-2027 school year.
At many school sites, flags and flowers are decorated brilliantly, teachers and students are present early, creating a joyful atmosphere on school day.
Sharing joy with teachers and students, leaders of Son La province organized delegations to attend, encourage and congratulate at many schools, showing concern for education work, especially ensuring learning conditions for students in mountainous and border areas.
On the opening day, Dang Nhat Minh - a 1A2 student at To Hieu Elementary School - was excited to attend the opening ceremony for the first time. He was happy to meet teachers and friends and wished for a year of learning with many experiences, being diligent and good at studying.
At Chieng Son Primary and Secondary Boarding School, the atmosphere of the school opening day is bustling. This is the main bridge point of the province, connecting with the opening program nationwide.
The school is built on an area of about 5 hectares in the center of Chieng Son commune, including 23 auxiliary items and works. Classrooms, dormitory, dining hall, schoolyard and technical infrastructure are invested synchronously.
Mr. Do Cong Binh - Principal of the school - said that the new facilities create a better learning and living environment, helping students feel secure in training and comprehensive development.
This school year, the school has 980 students and more than 60 officials and teachers. The school collective is excited, determined to unite and emulate to successfully complete the tasks" - Mr. Binh shared.
Colleges and universities in the province also joyfully organized the opening ceremony, welcoming more than 3,000 new students and thousands of students returning to the lecture hall.
A highlight in the school year is the system of 13 inter-level boarding schools in border communes. The projects are invested with more than 3,448 billion VND, serving learning, accommodation and living for more than 13,000 students.
To date, the projects have reached at least 90% of the construction volume; 11/13 schools have been put into use, organized the opening ceremony of the new school year and welcomed students to study.
To ensure teaching and learning conditions, Son La estimates nearly 100 billion VND to purchase equipment, and at the same time implement 70 projects under the National Target Programs for the period 2026-2030 with a total budget of more than 1,417 billion VND.
100% of managers and teachers have completed political and professional training. The Education sector continues to promote digital transformation, STEM, artificial intelligence, foreign languages, career guidance, taking the quality and progress of learners as the focus.
