On the afternoon of June 11, the Ministry of Education and Training provided quick information about the first exam day of the 2026 high school graduation exam.
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the total number of candidates taking the Literature exam is 1,203.039, a rate of 99.56% (the 2025 exam rate is 99.55%).
The total number of candidates taking the Math exam is 1,197,195, a rate of 99.42% (the 2025 exam rate is 99.40%).
On the first exam day, there were 27 candidates suspended from the exam (16 candidates for Literature, 11 candidates for Mathematics); of which 25 candidates used phones, 2 candidates used materials (in the 2025 exam, on the first exam day, there were 15 candidates violating the Regulations).
At the end of the first exam day, exam sites across the country organized the exam safely, seriously and in accordance with the Exam Regulations.
The Exam Councils have performed their assigned tasks well, and the invigilators proactively and promptly detected and handled cases of candidates violating the Exam Regulations. Most candidates were calm, confident, and took the exam seriously" - the report of the Ministry of Education and Training stated.
Tomorrow morning (June 12), candidates will take exams for elective subjects.
Exam time for each subject: 50 minutes; first exam subject: papers are distributed at 7:30 am, starting the exam at 7:35 am; second exam subject: papers are distributed at 8:35 am, starting the exam at 8:40 am.
The National Steering Committee for Exams proposed that the Exam Councils continue to direct exam sites to strictly implement the Exam Regulations; strengthen preventive measures, prevent, and promptly and seriously handle candidates who violate the Exam Regulations; especially the use of mobile phones, high-tech devices, and AI to solve exam questions.
Candidates registering for one subject should pay attention to the time to take the exam according to the exam schedule.
